5 Holiday Parties in
Canmore and Kananaskis

We’re rolling into the Holiday Season and let’s be honest, you may not have dry-cleaned your outfit from last year. We don’t blame you. Why rush to clean it now when you can spend your holiday party in your athletic wear?

Skip the awkward small talk with your coworkers and get straight to the fun, exhilarating times. Here’s how to surprise your team with a one-of-a-kind holiday party that will be talk of the water cooler for months to come.

Solitude

Solitude is an opportunity to create your own adventure in Rat's Nest Cave.

Canmore Cave Tours brings you a thrilling adventure through Rat’s Nest Cave. Go deep into Grotto Mountain and get up close and personal with your coworkers - it won’t be long before you’re helping each other through squeezes and down descents.

These private tours can be customized to your group. Add a concert, movie screening, photography, meditation, or whatever you can imagine to your tour.

Find Your Solitude
Spirit in the Mountain is a seasonal celebration of music in the mountains.

From December 14-17 you can experience the cave with an added bonus: an intimate concert with Canadian artists! Spirit in the Mountain offers four nights of music and merry-making in the heart of the mountain. If you’ve got a small team, these pre-arranged experiences are a great option.

Wild Life Distillery

Enjoy their range of unique cocktails, or stop in for a tour of the distillery, and tasting.

Finish your night with a walk down to Wild Life Distillery for a celebratory small-batch gin and tonic. Located just a block away from Cave Tours HQ, Wild Life Distillery is one of Canmore's first craft distilleries and they make some pretty mean cocktails. We're happy to help arrange a tour and tasting, or to point you in the right direction!

Mystery Towns

Mystery Towns is a great way to see the hidden side of town.

Get to know Canmore, Calgary, and Edmonton like never before. The Mystery Towns self-directed app lets you download and play at your own pace and start time. Once you’re ready to get started, head to your first location and follow the clues to solve the mystery.

As the party planner, you’re just as surprised by the outcome as your team and all you have to plan for is dressing for the weather. Stops along the way at pubs, restaurants, and coffee shops give you the time to talk without competitive jabs.

If you’ve got a larger team you can split into groups and race against the clock with a shotgun start.

Explore
Kananaskis Country

Kananaskis Country is a winter wonderland.

The newly renovated Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge is a great place to spend the holidays. During the holiday season you’ll be greeted by a festively decorated lodge to cozy up in. Add in a day fat bike tour with Kananaskis Outfitters, dogsledding at Boundary Ranch, and a private night party at the Kananaskis Nordic Spa and your team will be in awe of your party planning skills.

Don’t stop there! After a great year, your team deserves a family-style meal at Cedar Room to finish off their activity-filled day. They’ll have worked up an appetite and we’re sure a thirst that we’d like to help you quench.

If you’re still in the mood for a party with dinner, a band, and a DJ, join the Lodge’s Ballroom Blitzen on December 8 for a grand ol’ time.

Take part in some good old fashioned fun.

Moose Trail Overland

Get off the beaten track with Moose Trails.

Your group of 14 or less are sure to remember this outing. Moose Trail Overland will plan your entire trip for you – just tell them what you’re interested in doing! Their custom tours will take you around the Canadian Rockies in their kitted out 4x4 that they call Handsome Andy.

Try your hand at some winter adventure and then warm up with Canadian meals and cocktails. Handsome Andy will pick you up and drop you off, so you can enjoy every minute without a thought as to how much fun you’re having.
